Wedding Music

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose guitar for wedding music?

As a trained classical guitarist, I offer my services for weddings, meetings, dinner parties, and other special events. The unique qualities of the instrument can offer a nice backdrop to an event or be the main attraction with its varying sounds and styles.

Do you provide your own Amplification?

Yes. I will provide all necessary amplification for any event. I can also play audio from a phone or laptop if you’d like to hear recorded material at some point during the event.

Do you have a mic that the officiant could use?

I have a wireless lapel mic that I can bring for the officiant and can mic them through the same amplification that I use for my guitar.

What all is included with the ceremony fee?

The ceremony fee includes 30 minutes of prelude music while people are being seated, recessional music, processional music, any interlude music you may need, amplification, and a wireless lapel mic for the officiant (if needed).

How many songs do I need to select for you to perform?

Typically, you may want to select 3 pieces for the processional – one for parents/grandparents, one for the wedding party, and one for the bride. You’ll also want to consider the recessional piece, a song that everyone will walk out to. This is usually something upbeat and celebratory. If you want music for any part during the ceremony (during a candle lighting for example), you can select that piece as well. I am happy to assist in the selection process and will provide a list of repertoire that I have ready for those moments during the ceremony.

What kind of music do you typically perform for weddings?

Most often, I am asked to perform on my classical guitar. This is a nylon string instrument that produces a warm sound when compared to steel-string acoustic guitars. The word “classical” only defines the instrument, while the music I play is varied depending on the demands of the client. Within my classical guitar repertoire, I have classical pieces as well as arrangements of jazz standards and popular songs by artists such as The Beatles and Jason Mraz.

Can you also sing?

Yes, I can. If you’re looking for a more modern feel to your ceremony music with a more strumming and singing vibe, I can provide that as well. I’ve been singing now for over a decade.

We're sold. How do we book you for our wedding?

You may want to check my schedule to ensure that I have the date available on my calendar. From there, please fill out the Wedding Form so that I can send you an accurate quote for the event.

We still have a few questions; what's the best way to contact you?
